About scouting

Scouting is a way to live, close to nature in the community and with the goal of each Scout's personal development.

We work in patrols and make use of "learning by doing". This means that we are working in groups where you get to know other scouts well and we are training to teach us things and make decisions together. Learning by doing means that we try to do things instead of just talking about it.

Scouting is also a lot of experiences, which they share in common with other Scouts. These can be a fun thing for a scout meeting, or an adventure on a larger camps abroad or in Sweden.

Nature and environment are important to us and therefore constitute a large part of our program. We go on the hike, go on camp and to our Scout Hut. We also learn about nature and environment in our meetings.

International responsibility is also important to us and therefore we learn about how it is in other parts of the world. Are committed to democracy at many levels. This may involve making decisions in the patrol or the department, but also how we can influence decisions in society.

Common to all scouts in the world is that we follow the same main goals and are almost everywhere in the community.
